A little video of Katherine “mothering” her brothers.   Wesley’s deep delight in life is to cuddle his baby brother... this morning we thought he was lost, and after looking everywhere for him, finally found him laying next to Caleb’s bassinet.   “Baby!” was all he had to say for himself!

It has been such a good week!   Overall, I have felt pretty strong, we got to pick salmon berries, ride out the coast to a mining camp, and be back in Church, to name a few things.   As in any week, we have had some lower moments as well.   They have been fewer and farther in between, though.

Nathaniel and I leave tomorrow for Anchorage for my third round of chemo and some miscellaneous doctor’s appointments.   One of my big concerns is the lymph edema in my arm, and how to keep that from worsening.   It’s not severe, just pestering.

I’m sorry that my updates have been so few and far between the last little while.  I hope to do more soon.   Until then, rejoice with me!   These sporadic updates are because I am living life!   What a gift.

I’m enamored this evening with a quote I heard someone give, and I have tried to find it word for word but cannot.   So here is the general thought...

“When they pass through the hedge of God’s protection round us, the fiery darts of our enemy satan transform into the refining fire of God Himself.”

This cancer has truly felt at times like a fiery dart sent straight to the depths of our soul.   But I treasure the thought that it has been seized upon by Almighty God, and that when wielded in His hand, this trial is not sent to destroy, but used to build and refine.   What a redemptive God!

Thank you again for your prayers,  I’ll try to write more soon!  :)
